From NLMGA: "Late summer is the time when prairie flowers bloom and grasses turn golden, a wonderful time to spend an evening in the prairie! Come enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Harmony Arboretum Demonstration Prairie on Wednesday, July 29, from 5:30-7 p.m. (CDT). Learn about prairie ecosystems, their importance to both wildlife and people, and how people restore prairies and why. You’ll also learn about typical prairie plants like coneflower, compass plant, little bluestem grasses, spiderwort, wild bergamot, and butterfly-weed."
